Trimix Injectable (#1) 40 mcg / 30 mg / 2 mg per mL – 5 mL Vial is a compounded intracavernosal injection (ICI) formulation used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). It combines three vasoactive agents that work synergistically to promote smooth muscle relaxation and increased penile blood flow, resulting in a reliable erectile response. Alprostadil 40 mcg/mL – A prostaglandin E1 analog that increases intracellular cAMP, leading to smooth muscle relaxation and vasodilation within the corpora cavernosa. Papaverine 30 mg/mL – A non-specific phosphodiesterase inhibitor that enhances blood flow by relaxing vascular smooth muscle. Phentolamine 2 mg/mL – A non-selective alpha-adrenergic antagonist that reduces sympathetic tone, further promoting vasodilation.
