Tesamorelin 12 mg Vial is a synthetic growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) analog used in clinical and research settings to stimulate the natural production of growth hormone (GH) from the anterior pituitary gland. It mimics endogenous GHRH, promoting a physiologic increase in GH secretion, which subsequently elevates insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels.
Tesamorelin is FDA-approved under the brand name Egrifta for the reduction of excess abdominal fat in HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Its mechanism supports lipolysis, improved body composition, and metabolic regulation, particularly targeting visceral adipose tissue.
A 12 mg vial typically contains a lyophilized powder that requires reconstitution prior to subcutaneous injection. It is commonly administered once daily in clinical protocols. Compared to direct GH therapy, tesamorelin promotes a more physiologic pulsatile release of GH, which may reduce the risk of overtreatment and side effects.
